For your own peace of mind and safety, please note the following points:
This website is to introduce you to the service offered by Shore Stay Guest House. Please note that no contract to supply a room has been created until we have contacted you directly to confirm a booking. Bookings will always be confirmed in writing/by email or Messenger.
Booking
A non-refundable deposit will be required upon booking in order to secure the room. Balance to be paid at check-in. If paying by cheque/postal order, please make payable to: Shore Stay Guest House and write your booking name on the reverse. These payments will need to clear in the bank before the rooms are secured. We can take card deposits over the phone, which will secure a room immediately.
Booking in and Checking Out
Rooms are available from 2pm on the day of arrival. If you need to drop your bags off in advance of this, we will store them safely for you and on occasion, rooms may be available earlier than 2pm - please ask and we will do our best to meet your needs.
Guests are required to check out by 10.30am on the morning of their departure.
Food
A cooked breakfast is included in your room fee. We do not serve any other meals. No hot takeaway food (e.g. pizza, curry, kebabs) allowed in any of the guest rooms at any time. However, we leave our lounge open all day and night, so that you can eat your takeaway food in comfort at any time. If we are available and you require plates, cutlery, etc, we will be happy to provide them.
No Smoking Policy
We operate a no smoking / no vapes policy everywhere inside the guest house. We have a front patio area with seating, where guests are welcome to smoke, but please use the ash buckets provided. No smoking of weed or any other substance apart from vapes or commercially produced tobacco permitted anywhere on the property.
Damages
Any damage to the property of Shore Stay Guest House must be paid for.
Group Bookings
We accept single/couple/family bookings. Group bookings are only accepted for mixed groups of couples/family/friends. No stag or hen groups are accepted.
We have a pool table and a dart board, plus dominoes and cards available for the use of guests.
Noise / Antisocial Behaviour
Please be mindful of other guests. This is a family guest house. If guests have to be asked on more than one occasion to keep noise levels down, we reserve the right to ask them to leave the premises.
Accessibility
Shore Stay Guest House is a Victorian building with lots of stairs and as such, is not suitable for wheelchair users or people with other severe mobility limitations. There are no rooms available on the ground floor, but we have a stair-lift for the convenience of guests with some mobility limitations.
Pets
We do not accept any pets.
